DIFFICULTY  IN  SETTING  YOUR  DEFAULT  SEARCH  ENGINE,  FOLLOW  THE  FOLLOWING  SIMPLE  STEPS : This  is  the  prior  solution, strictly  follow  it.


1.   Navigate  to  local  disk  c;  windows>  find windows/system32
 {c:/ windows/system32/group policy/}     .
2.   Open  each   subdirectory  file  there  and  change  the  " X.POL"  to  X.SAV"   E.G  You'll  find  registry.pol  ang   change  it  to  registry.sav  .

Any  other  solutions  are  as  follows:

1.a .  Hit  windows-  key   +  R ,  type  the  following  and  enter { reg  delete  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GOOGLE\CHROME.
2.b  In  the  command  prompt  window  that  appears  type:  Yes  and  press  enter.
3.b  Restart  Google  chrome  and  change  your start  engine.

OR  You  can  ,  Run  Regedit  by  typing  in  the  start menu,: then  navigate  thru  the  following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/POLICIES/GOOGLE/CHROME.
